Easy to decorate M&M Christmas sugar cookies

So you know those cookie decorating videos yous meet on the cyberspace? Where people magically turn a cookie into a slice of art? Ya, I tin can't do that. I'grand pretty skilful at making cookies, but I lack basic cookie decorating skills. Or perchance just the will to spend that much time on each cookies. And the skills, I definitely lack the skills.

Then I normally just stick with my super fast method of frosting cookies and call information technology skilful. But since it's nearly Christmas I decided to get above and across: I used mini G&Ms to make cute Christmas saccharide cookies with no skills and minimal effort.

I beloved Christmas, and I love doing fun Christmas-y stuff, but sometimes I actually simply need something Piece of cake. All yous have to do for these cookies is frost them with plain white frosting, and add mini Yard&Ms. (Click hither for my favorite soft sugar cookie and cream cheese frosting recipe. Or just buy yourself a tub of dough. Piece of cake.)

I fabricated Christmas trees, snowflakes, and ornaments. You lot'll exist able to decorate quite a few cookies with a full handbag of mini M&Ms (I found them in the baking aisle at my shop). And you'll take lots of dark-brown M&Ms left over, which you lot'll just take to consume.

For the decoration cookie, I lined up M&Ms across the cookie in blood-red, orangish, and xanthous, and I topped each cookie with a mini Reese's (they come up in a bag already unwrapped simply for extremely lazy people like me).

For the snowflake cookie, I started with one blue 1000&Chiliad in the center of the cookie, then surrounded information technology with 6 more in a circle. Finally, I made 6 "arms" on the snowflake using 2 more than 1000&Ms in each.

And for the Christmas tree cookie, I simply made a triangle out of green M&Ms and topped with a yellowish M&M "star" and chocolate-brown M&M "torso".
